So many of the cards in the deck put +1/+1 counters on your creatures for minimal effort, and with certain other cards, those counters can stick around even if the creatures with them get removed
This is a great way to keep one of your strongest creatures on the board against your opponent or an even better way to steal one of theirs
Coupled with removal spells, counters, and a huge body, however, the blue Gearhulk can navigate through a field with relative ease if the pilot draws reasonably well and hits all of their land drops on time
