Dating from the 19th century this faboulous ecclesiastical panel with a dove of peace emitting rays of light. The padded stumpwork body of the dove is embroidered with gold gilt coils which have been stitched in consecutive lines over the body and wings giving a wonderful glittering three dimensional effect. The rays coming from the dove have been worked in gilt metal sequins. The panel is trifoil in shape and is
