You never really end up with a deck, as much as a collection of removal spells, a dash of evasion creatures, a trick or two, and some ground-pounders
Iona is banned because she can lock a mono-colored player out of the game all by herself
Its a way for decks to consistently find certain cards, most often combo decks, which means that the cheaper and more efficiently a card can perform these actions, the stronger it is as a tutor
This is a little worse than Vampire's Vengeance from a surgery standpoint (and you don't get the Blood token) but has some wider targeting (actually, strangely not specifically "target"-ing, and not a crime) applications that give it some consideration
if you do use Shift to do so, your opponent (or opponents) have 2 Lore points removed
My Verdict: A fun crossover that feels special every time you open a pack
