Escalate isn't a marquee mechanic, and I don't expect many players to attend a prerelease or buy a box just to play with escalate, but it is also a mechanic with a ton of potential for Tammy to salivate over and skillful decisions for Spike to meditate on, so I do think it adds to the set's appeal
It marks the debut of fourth-generation Pokmon in the game, as well as the first expansion of the Diamond & Pearl series
All items cost Premium Tickets, earned through completing missions, and there are exactly enough tickets in this months missions to unlock every item
In terms of power level, Id put it below the Forgotten Realms decks, roughly around the same as the Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow offerings
Artifact tokens would work well with other themes, like "artifacts matter" and sacrifice themes, which were both themes we wanted in the set
