In naming the format, Wizards of the Coast shied away from Elder Dragon Highlander, largely because of concerns that using the word Highlander might result in legal action, as a result of the fact that it came directly from another intellectual property
It's a staple of storm decks and a common commander if you're in Jeskai (blue/red/white)

In Commander, where games are a lot slower, Krenkos ability really shines and can create a board thats almost impossible to deal with
