All of the ingredients are there, nice sun, enjoyable weather, just like they are there in your deck with good creatures and spells that you just drew
Now whenever an outlaw you control (Assassin, Mercenary, Pirates, Rogues and Warlocks are outlaws) deals combat damage to player, you get a treasure
Its not all Shire-friendly, either, with some true wrath coming in the form of Toxic Deluge, spot removal like Path to Exile and Swords to Plowshares, and cards like The Gaffer to turn that lifegain into more card draw
These cards are nice because they are doing several things to power you up at once
This set was a chance for WotCs designers and developers to throw caution to the wind and just design a huge slew of new mechanics without needing to get them correctly balanced
