Sounding like science fiction, some mutations have even been aided by the use of X rays, a practice also used in Poinsettias. Specially developed Purple Speck is a lovely, smaller leafed Begonia. Mostly pale sea green, the deep red of the center veins and thin red borders accent and outline the leaves.
