Ceramic Plaited Packing is reinforced with glass (650°C) or metal wire (1260°C) and contains approximately 20% organic carrier fibre to facilitate the carding process

and also with one side aluminium foil (radiation temperature 1000°C)

but this has no effect on the properties of the speciality glass fibre

The width and thickness are determined by the number and thickness of the yarns used. Glass webbing is a soft resilient product, available in a number of different thicknesses and constructions to provide a comprehensive HT range. Ladder tapes are also available. This type of webbing has regular perforations in the middle, one third of the width, to produce a ladder like structure.
