Sepia Colour Kalamkari Block Print with Tree of Life Lampshade woman often held objects suchWorked in sepia earth tones alongside a dusky rose pink this hand blocked Kalamkari dating from the first half of the 19th century. It has a central depiction of a tree of life growing from a scholars rock with two smaller trees echoing it on either side, also with peacocks, deer and magnificent roaring tigers at the base. This textile is in good antique condition with some minor staining and age marks which may be removed with specialist cleaning.
