Kingston Black Size:M25 fruity flavourA vintage quality bittersharp cider apple. Small, very maroon apples, sometimes almost appearing black, as the name suggests. Cider is also dark. A rich and tasty eater if eaten when fully ripe. Fruit is said to improve and the tree ages, although it can become dry and woolly if stored. First recorded by the London Horticultural Society in 1826. Once planted all over Somerset and probably named after Kingston St Mary. Can be capricious! It doesn't
