The spell does need to be cast from your hand, if it gets cast from anywhere else (like with Cascade, for example), Rebound wont trigger, and so to the graveyard with the spell
But there is a known set sequence, which you can find on Bulbapedia: The Japanese release are ordered by the types first, then ascending rarity (Rare and Rare Holo are considered the same), then National Pokdex number, followed by Trainer and Energy cards
